Midland Kansas USGS Quad - Animated Visualization Techniques

This movie was created to demonstrate the use of animated visualization techniques for displaying forest cover change data in Northeastern Kansas, USA. In the visualization, the changing forest cover of a USGS Quad sized area is animated through 61 years (1941 - 2002) corresponding to aerial photography coverage. Motion and time series animation techniques are explored.
