Founded in 1934, the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) is a scientific association serving over 7,000 professionals members around the world. Our mission is to advance knowledge and improve understanding of mapping sciences and to promote the responsible applications of photogrammetry, remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), and supporting technologies.
We are a Central Region ASPRS student chapter called Mr. Oread ASPRS Student Chapter--we are also a student organization at the University of Kansas called the Geospatial Technologies Club. As a club, we focus on exploring career opportunities in geospatial and cartographic science.
