Dr. Mark E. Jakubauskas is an Assistant Research Professor in the Kansas Applied Remote Sensing Program (KARS) Program and holds a courtesy graduate faculty appointment in the Department of Geography at the University of Kansas. He has more than 12 years experience in both fundamental and applied remote sensing research, and is a former NASA Global Climate Change Research Fellow. His research is focused on biophysical remote sensing and remote sensing of vegetation change at seasonal and interannual time scales. Current projects involve an ecological-climatological study of environmental change in the Southern Great Plains, remote sensing for biodiversity assessment in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, and hyperspectral remote sensing of plant communities. |
